The 1959 Cadillac was designed by designer Harley Earl, who was inspired by space travel and American rockets for his design. The 59 Cadillac was the pinnacle of excessive design of American cars. With caudal fins rising 42 inches from the ground, quad-rocket headlights and solid chrome bumpers, a body length of more than 20 feet, this was the last Cadillac for attention.
